Updates on Ukraine Work

Yellow Sign says "entrance to the shelter is in the back"                                                                         Picture above, of Emmanuel Church, was from almost two years ago, when they were a shelter to those broken by the war in eastern Ukraine.

Emmanuel Church, Lugansk

This church that we have helped start and grow in strength has been taken by the new government in Lugansk.  The church that worshipped there for years has lost their facilities.  At this point they need a lot of prayer for their safety and provisions needed for life.

The suffering of the people who have lost their church and their emotional support group are struggling.

I will soon travel to Ukraine to meet with church leaders and pray with them about where we go in the future.  What direction does God have for Open Door Missions in this region.  I don't believe God would have us give up when things get tough but instead to step up and do the hard thing and maybe plant a new work in the safe territory.  These brothers and sisters  need our prayers and our support during these distressing times.  Please if you could find a way to help, we will get this emergency support for food and medicine to them ASAP.  Pray for clarity in our vision for new ministry there!
